Myanmar (also known as Burma), is still a bit back in time. The long military ruling paused it from developing further. Lots of naturla resources and 50 million people will make this country flourish. Tourists will want to visit for example the beautiful, one-of-a-kind Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Inle Lake, the 2500+ Pagodas in old Pagan and the Golden Rock.
Unfortunately the military has taken control of Myanmar again with a violent coup early 2021. Myanmar remains a very interesting country, but it may not be the safest at this moment.

Yangon (4)
Yangon (aka. Rangoon) is the capital of Myanmar (aka. Burma). 5 Million people live here, but it still looks rural. Evenings may be dark due to power outages... But Myanmar is changing rapidly and these issues may be part of the past... The Shwedagon temple is certainly one of the most amazing buildings, in the world!
Bagan
The old city of Bagan currently features approx. 2500 Temples over a large area. And this incredible number is still growing! Recommended: hire a bicycle and see the sights at your own speed.
Inle Lake
Picturesque lake with fisherman, "longneck" women, a monastery dedicated to cats and lots of tomatoes. The village itself offers everything you need, like beds, restaurants and bicycles/motocycles to explore the area.
Kyaikto (Golden Rock)
Kyaikto is the home of the Kyaikto Temple, aka. "Golden Rock". It is a small pagoda built on the top of a granite boulder covered with golden leafs.
Mandalay
Mandalay, founded 1857 at the Irrawaddy river, is the 2nd largest city in Myanmar and the centre of Buddhist culture.
