As well as the safaris, we will visit Masai villages, and stay in a local village at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, before we head to the coast. We'll take a short ferry crossing to the exotic island of Zanzibar, and enjoy a tour of Stone Town and a spice farm, as well has having several days to relax on the beautiful white sandy beaches at the north of the island. Here there are also many water sports options, including snorkelling, scuba diving, jet skis and kite surfing.
The trip starts in Nairobi, and finishes on Zanzibar, with airport transfers included at both ends. Accommodation is a mix of hotels/lodges, permanent camps, and in simple tents next to our truck. Travel is mainly on one of our specialist overland expedition vehicles with an experienced tour leader and driver on board. In the Serengeti we use specialist safari vehicles, and use a minibus after arriving on Zanzibar.
This family tour has a minimum age requirement of 5 years, with discounted prices available for children aged from 5 to 15. Our trucks have 24 seats on the back, and the group will be a minimum of 8 people and maximum of 18 (plus crew).
