A local expert will introduce you to its parks, sidewalk cafés, and lively central market. See Prešern Square, historic City Hall, and the city’s many bridges, including the beautiful Dragon Bridge, named for its several statues (the dragon is the city’s symbol). Enjoy free time for lunch, then travel to the enormous Postojna caves, one of the country’s most famed attractions. Venture to the Great Mountain caves by electric train and wander through caverns filled with unique pillars, columns, and huge icicles.
