Caïro is de hoofdstad van Egypte en een van de grootste stad in Afrika. Het ligt dicht bij de Grote Piramides en herbergt het wereldberoemde Egyptische Museum en de Citadel. De oude stad is super, het verkeer is verschrikkelijk.
Gizeh is de thuisbasis van de wereldberoemde oude Egyptische piramides. Ze zijn rond 2600 voor Christus gemaakt en behoren tot de oudste gebouwen ter wereld... Het is mogelijk om naar binnen te gaan en meer mysteries te ontdekken.
Onlangs opende het prachtige Egyptische museum deuren naast de piramides.
Abu Simbel is een gerestaureerde, kunstmatige heuvel met prachtige sculpturen van Ramses II zoals gered door Unesco voor het meer van een nabijgelegen hydro-dam.
Luxor is de stad waar de voormalige koningen en farao's van Egypte zijn begraven. Hoewel hij geen belangrijke heerser was, werd het prachtige graf van Toetanchamon hier ontdekt. Luxor is ook de locatie van de Karnak-tempel met hoge pilaren.
Hurghada is een badplaats aan de Rode Zee van Egypte met uitstekende mogelijkheden om te duiken.
Mount Sinaï (ook bekend als Jabal Musa) is een berg in de Sinaï-woestijn. Het is een van de vele locaties waarvan wordt beweerd dat het de bijbelse berg Sinaï is waar Mozes, volgens de Thora, de Bijbel en de Koran, de Tien Geboden ontving. Het klooster van St. Catherine is vlakbij.
Saqqara is de locatie van oude begraafplaatsen van Egyptische royalty's. Het bevat talloze piramides, waaronder de Trappiramide van Djoser.
