Gizeh

Cairo
Caïro is de hoofdstad van Egypte en een van de grootste stad in Afrika. Het ligt dicht bij de Grote Piramides en herbergt het wereldberoemde Egyptische Museum en de Citadel. De oude stad is super, het verkeer is verschrikkelijk.
Luxor
Luxor is de stad waar de voormalige koningen en farao's van Egypte zijn begraven. Hoewel hij geen belangrijke heerser was, werd het prachtige graf van Toetanchamon hier ontdekt. Luxor is ook de locatie van de Karnak-tempel met hoge pilaren.
Abu Simbel
Abu Simbel is een gerestaureerde, kunstmatige heuvel met prachtige sculpturen van Ramses II zoals gered door Unesco voor het meer van een nabijgelegen hydro-dam.
Saqqara
Saqqara is de locatie van oude begraafplaatsen van Egyptische royalty's. Het bevat talloze piramides, waaronder de Trappiramide van Djoser.
Hurghada
Hurghada is een badplaats aan de Rode Zee van Egypte met uitstekende mogelijkheden om te duiken.
Sharm el-Sheikh
Sharm el-Sheikh is een vakantieoord en was een belangrijk centrum voor toerisme in Egypte. Het staat bekend om uitstekend snorkelen en duiken.
