We are a software company, not a tour operator or a travel agent. We do not accept online bookings, but allow visitors to search and compare multi-day tours, cruises and expeditions from top tour operators worldwide. Once the visitor finds that great tour, he/she can simply click a button that will take him/her to the right page at the tour / cruise operator’s website where he/she can get more information, knowledgeable customer support, check availability, make booking and payment. There are no additional Terms and Conditions! Direct booking confirmation at the best and current price!
Tours can start at home (with or without flight) as well as at your destination, with fix itinerary for group tours (e.g. day-to-day program, local activities, date, price), or flexible itinerary for private groups (accommodation types, etc.). Many travelers are multi-lingual, so are our tours and tour guides, and so is ToursOnTheWeb! We work with outbound AND international tour operators. Travelers can now choose whether they like to join a group with fellow country men & women, or an international group, or get a private, tailor-made tour in any budget. We also launched a platform www.toursinluxury.com for a special kind of travelers, who really like luxury or the extraordinary. ToursOnTheWeb works the way travelers think! Even though this sounds very logical it was really quite complex to implement.
As a software company we are not involved in the booking, payment or travel process in any way. The operator communicates directly with the traveller for information, booking, re-scheduling and cancellations. Our business model is based on a referral principle, whereas our earnings origin in a) listing fees b) pay-per-click c) pay-per-request or d) pay-per-sale (for example through affiliate marketing programs) e) advertising. The traveller does not pay anything extra for our services.
This business model is similar to skyscanner.com, kayak.com, trivago.com and rome2rio.com... all very liked and successful companies. We combine convenience of a very large tour selection with comparison options and the confidence of booking at a trustworthy tour operator. There is nothing like it anywhere!
ToursOnTheWeb Pte Ltd is a privately held, independent software company based in Singapore, founded 2014. We are specialised in travel and tourism. Our founder and CEO, Mr. Paul van Schaik, is a very experienced multi-lingual Dutch software engineer, consultant and entrepreneur with (former) permanent residency in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Canada and Singapore who has travelled the world extensively.
