This comprehensive 22-day trip will allow you to discover the two most alluring and culturally rich continents of the world; i.e. Europe and Africa. The tour begins in Madrid, the capital of Spain, and a city with elegant boulevards and expansive, manicured parks. From there you will travel to Porto, a coastal city best known for its unique stately bridges and port wine production. Next destination will be Coimbra, a riverfront city in central Portugal that is considered as the site of one of the oldest universities in Europe and the birthplace of the popular music genre, Fado. See the Monastery of Batalha, one of the most important Gothic sites in Portugal. Continue to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, to discover its major tourist spots, such as the Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery, Coach Museum, and Liberty Avenue. Next, drive back to Spain and visit highlights of Andalusia including its capital, Sevilla and admire the incredible architectural diversity of Spain at Santa Cruz or the former Jewish quarter. Later continue to the Costa Del Sol on the Mediterranean Sea and marvel at the diversity of landscapes: beaches, cliffs, estuaries, bays and dunes. Finally enjoy a ferry ride from Tarifa, crossing the Strait of Gibraltar to Tangiers in Morocco. You will explore major highlights in Morocco such as Fez, Marrakech, and Casablanca before returning to Costa Del Sol and continuing on to see the major historical landmarks inGranada and Toledo. The tour will end in Madrid.
