The United Arab Emirates is a monarchy formed by 7 emirates of which Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the best known. It has a population of almost 10 million of which 80% are foreigners. The UAE is a very rich country thanks to its location and neighbours. Tourists can enjoy camel and dune rides as well as very exclusive architecture, hotels and resorts.

Dubai has positioned itself as a commercial center for the Arab region and this thanks to its richness (oil) and its influential neighbours (e.g. Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi). Dubai offers tourists a lot of great architecture like the Burj al Arab and Atlantis hotels, duty free shopping in superb malls and the tallest building in the world: the Burj Khaliffa (named after the ruler of Abu Dhabi). Dubai is a Muslim country but friendly to other religions as well.
