Jordan is a friendly, peaceful country in the Middle East. With close neighbours like Syria, Iraq/Iran, Saudi Arabia and Israel that isn't always easy. Of course there is a lot of sand and many camels, but you can also find great diving sites (Aqaba), Nature (Wadi Arum) and ancient cities like the world famous Petra.
The dead sea is dead because of it's salt level. It is located between Jordan and Israel.
