Canada is the 2nd largest country in the world (after Russia), but only counts 40 million people... Most of these people live just north of the US-border. The big three cities (Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver) plus the other major cities have close to 75% of the total population. In other words: the country is empty outside the major cities! In Quebec province French is the official language, anywhere else English will do.
Quebéc City is one of the very few cities in North-America with an old city center. The old city is surrounded by a big, thick wall and reminds you of the days that French and British fought for North-America. Quebec also has the French flair with nice little bars and restaurants.
