Canada is the 2nd largest country in the world (after Russia), but only counts 40 million people... Most of these people live just north of the US-border. The big three cities (Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver) plus the other major cities have close to 75% of the total population. In other words: the country is empty outside the major cities! In Quebec province French is the official language, anywhere else English will do.

Toronto, at Lake Ontario, is Canada´s largest city and economic power house. Toronto is home of the CN-tower, the Skydome and the Hockey hall of fame. Yonge Street, a street that was 1900 km long till 1999, starts here.
